Color vision is a result of cone cells. People with normal vision have 3 cone cell types: red, green blue. Of the 6-7million you have, 45% are green. Therefore, your eyes need to work less to perceive color.

Green is very restful to the eye and it's at the opposite end of the spectrum to red,
which is also the most emotionally charged color. So looking at green not gives your eyes a break, it calms you emotionally.

The visible light with the highest intensity is blue light, and just above it on the spectrum is UV radiation. One concern is that, because blue light is so close to UV radiation in wavelength, it might be similarly harmful, particularly to our vision.
The screens on our electronic devices may not emit light anywhere near as bright as sunlight (which contains both blue light and UV radiation), but the time we spend staring at our screens is time we spend exposing our eyes to blue light.

    Screens of computers
    Screens of smartphones
    Screens of tablets
    LED lights
    Fluorescent lights
    Flat screen LED televisions

    Adjust Your Devices Set For Eye Health.
    Make sure your devices are set for eye health.
    Raise the contrast on your screen.
    Make text larger to read.
    Change the brightness of the screen darker than your surroundings.
    Lower the color temperature of your screen. Give off less blue light, which is linked to more eyestrain.

    Raise the device’s refresh rate. That will cause less flickering of the screen.
    Use  computer glasses ( Amazon ). They help you see more sharply and can potentially reduce screen glare, all of which allows your eyes to relax.
